The problem is, as there are no records, saying anything is rarer than another...e.g SS is rarer than standard is also just guesswork. We know how many SS's were made...200..but that is allegedly. Were all 200 made? Not sure. Standards? Not a clue. I recon Stu would probably have the best guess on this though..and from what I see out there, the majority of Domi's are SS's, which tends to back his view up. I heard standard Domis were made to order, so not stocked as it were. Someone may know better on that. Given the shenanigans that went on at the factory, I can completely believe there are no accurate records. The best we are going to get is probably the Norton Owners club with their register of 961's...but it could take years to build up a picture..and even then, they may not get tem all!Agree with Voodooo, no knows exactly how many dominators standard came out of the factory and to say that the standard dominator is rarer than the ss is just guesswork . Also I cannot believe that Norton has not got the paperwork for the Stuart Garner era. They are not helpful what so ever and dont even bother to reply to letters and emails. All they seem to be interested in is the electrifying the new models. When that happens and theres no more parallel petrol driven twins then the Norton brand will be finally dead.
