Take a look at this exhaust mount
The bloke has youth on his side and I hope he learns and grows
But jeez it's enough to make me cry looking at it !!!

Haven't got 45 minutes - where's the part you're talking about?

Oh I skipped through it
It's around halfway to three quarters through where he welds a boss straight on to the fish tail silencers
And the bolts them rigidly to the commando Z plates

Oh dear - very, very, very sad!
As a motorcycle mechanic he makes a very good stone crusher I think.😞😞

The bigger picture or is it.

What amazes me is the bloke is getting paid by people to do this kind of work
There's another episode after that one where he realises the kickstart lever won't clear the pipe because of the length he made the spigot!!

I wonder if he will put on u tube the episode where he starts it and the exhaust breaks?
Or the owner complains about excessive vibration just before it breaks or the exhaust threads strip

Read the comments on his post, he knows he got it wrong. We all do dumb things I know I've done plenty. I was always told that's how the clever guy learns...well hopefully.
I would offer, that clever guys don't have to screw everything up. They can visualize pitfalls by studying, reading, talking to elders, etc. and thinking things through before acting.

Only since "every snowflake gets a trophy" has failure been so universally celebrated.

Maybe we are all wrong
And that engine is bolted up rigid and re balanced to run silky smooth at any rpm!!!??
Mind you I still wouldn't mount a silencer on a single welded spigot!!!🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

Would you ride a bike built by this artisan up to 40, much less 80+ MPH after watching this?
Given his entitled "artsy" attitude, standing oil and fuel puddles he walks through, kicking fasteners laying on the floor everywhere, tools spread all over the shop, I know what I would do.....and riding would not be involved.
