Ten days ago, at last I could make the maiden trip with my newly acquired Production Racer. It really took me some time to get used to it as it is so much different from my other bikes but the more I ride it, the more I like it. Just one kick and it starts without choke and what I really find amazing every time I start it: it idles perfectly even with a cold engine.
The Combat engine asks to be reved up but is also very smooth at low RPM. so perfectly usable in every day traffic. The other day, the speedometer cable broke. I fitted my bicycle computer on the left clip-on as a temporary solution but will probably leave it there: speed controls have become a real plague overhere so it's better to know your precise speed... :evil:
It's a fantastic feeling having brought this bike back to life after all this years and I hope her second life will be long and prosperous.
