Hi Tony, no not yet. No spark on left cylinder. Bike already has a replacement Bosch coil pack but are cheap enough to replace so will try that and see if that cures it. Seems to be 1 problem after another. I’ve only had the bike a monthHave you verified no spark to that cylinder ? Is it an ignition issue ?
Hi Dave, I think I’d whip the tank off again and see if there is anything amiss. There is a connector feeding the coil pack which may have got disturbed. Also have a look at the loom near the rear of the tank, and make sure it isn’t being crushed. Mine was, so I put a thicker rubber pad under the tank so it just clears it.Hi Tony, no not yet. I don't remember exactly. Possibly on the coil pack itself?Thank you, tank is still off. Do you know where the connector is and what it looks like?
Take out both plugs connect to the boots, ground them to the head while cranking the engine over . Check for spark at the plugs gaps make sure of this before going further.Hi Tony, no not yet. Hi Tony, tried that. If I swap the ht leads at the coil end the opposite side sparks which I guess means only one of the two coils is working or there is no power to that coilTake out both plugs connect to the boots, ground them to the head while cranking the engine over . OK so try a coil and ohm out the wires leading to it from the ECU.Hi Tony, tried that. If I swap the ht leads at the coil end the opposite side sparks which I guess means only one of the two coils is working or there is no power to that coil
Hi Dave, this video should help. It’s not an identical coil, but the principle is the same.Hi Tony, thank you. No I don’t have a service manual I’m afraid.
I have 3 terminals on the coil pack plus the 2 HT ones , could you tell me which terminals I need to connect to what please.
Many thanks
Dave
The manual is available on the site . Correct Cliff ?Thank you, will it a try in the morning
Hi , Use Cliffa's video as a guide . Center pin on the primary plug is the 12V common. So measure like it shows center pin to each pin L and R of it for very low ohms . Then measure the seconday like the video showsin the higher K ohms range. You may need to replace the coil to be sure. Thanks for the video Cliff !Hi Tony, thank you. I have the SC ECU pre and post Dec 2013 and 2016 Euro 3 OMEX on paper only and Euro 4 in PDF . I need to get them converted to PDF .Yes, that and many more Tony
Dave, loads of manuals and info here..

Workshop manual..
Wiring diagram ( not sure if it will match your bike exactly)
Tony, do you have any earlier wiring schematics by any chance? We only seem to have Euro 3 & 4 versions on here.
