So no dedicated rear in 19" so you need to go universal and accept 5.6mm of tread vs 7.5mm.

Looking at the inital pricing online this is a not an issue vs the Conti Classic Attack dedicated rear.

I searched the net and Avon site, but no mention of these “II” versions. The size choice is the same in universal. What if any compound or other compared to the current Roadrider? The ‘69 750 S just acquired came with two new 4.10-19 Roadrunners. When my Roadriders wear out on the ‘72 will use these. 4.10-19 is too large for the front fender on the ‘69.

"X-Ply"
= 'Cross'-Ply?

X-ply = Cross-ply = Bias ply = Conventional. The other two types of tire construction are belted bias and radial (leaving out solid tires:)). At least that's what the tire manufacturers say. As far as I can tell, all radial tires are belted, meaning they have a crown ply that wraps around the circumference of the tire, but bias ply tires are available in both belted and conventional construction.

Doesn’t look as these are being sold in the US. No dealer information when I searched on their website.

Only just announced in UK, limited sizes are tickling out so give it a few months.

Bias belt has a non steel cord belt, radial has a steel belt. These tyres are marked B or R.
Look on the Avon news page for the MK2 release. Sadly no dedicated front and rear fitment for the Commando wearing WM2 rims, just the universal.
As yet not seen anything on prices, or had one to compare against the predecessor. Also not clear if these will be road going compound that will take tyre warmers like some of the Conti's.
