I received my Premiers from Access Norton Store yesterday. They camed milled and should fit my 850 nicely. I have not removed the old cards yet and am concerned if the 180 banjos on the old Amals will fit on the Premiers?

answered my own question.
It would take a feat of magic to get the cables engaged without opening up the carbs.
A mind is a terrible thing.
All the Best.

P.S. Forgot you add; Servise was quick, faster than I expected. The Access Forum Store may not have a lot on the shelves, but the service is above the industry standard.

Ah! taking things apart. If it can be unscrewed, dismantled and fiddled with, it will be in pieces within minutes :D

The flats are machined from new, and It looks like the old original carbs are also machined. No reason why they couldn't be filed.

And a bloke from Amal at the Stafford Classic Bike Show told me the reason for the cut away spray tube, then I instantly forgot what he said  So does anyone know what the reason is ???

If you have old carbs that are machined you might want to look at the numbers, they may not be original to the bike.

i don't know. I just looked at my old ones today, they're 932 26/27 on a 73 750, which according to the INOA is correct, and when i look at those flat spots, they definitely have a grain to them like they were machined, not cast that way.

Best pic I could get with my cell

Kevbo,
Thank you. Did you open the new carbs and check the float settings? I have not installed my yet. Attempting to reorganize my garage space first.

ya know i should've, but i didn't. they say they're all set and ready to go since they're not the generic 300's etc etc. i did notice the needle clip on one of mine was in the wrong spot though, so i wouldn't take them as "perfect" from the box.

My floats where not set they came over top of float bowl so would flood all time an needles are set in middle groove. am in process of shortening battery tray to make filter less of pain but still big enough for 20ah gell battery

The floats in mine were way to high, in the process of setting mine closer to .08. I hope to get if fired up this week and and see if it runs, will let you know Monday.
All other setting where fine. Had Lord Enki for almost 3 years and only have 16 miles on it. Any one living close to to is more than welcome to take it for a weekend spin. It may be a couple of months before I am well enough to go for more than around the block.

Hey Sabre13 I might be able to take you up on that. I'm comming back from overseas and I'm supposed to be arriving back in the states in Indianapolis, but then I will be needing to get down to Houston & if I end up renting a car (I have a duffel bag weighing 70 lbs and a large suitcase weighing in at 68 lbs. plus a back pack and a computer bag)----nothing like traveling light :( I could swing by. ...I'll send you a PM. I real curious about the Premiers and might get some for one of my MKIII's . Cj
