This is about my 1971 Norton Command 750. What happens if I put in more primary oil than the prescribed 200㏄, 200㏄ feels like less and I want to put in a quart, will putting in a quart cause any problems? Also, what kind of primary oil do you use? What viscosity do you use?

Akira, the translation was a bit off.
Any more than 200cc will probably cause frothing.
The oil is only to lubricate the chain.

I got your message.

ありがとうございます。クラッチが少し滑っていますが、プライマリーオイルが影響しているのでしょうか?

"Thank you. The clutch is slipping a little, but is the primary oil having an effect? "

I think more oil will not stop the clutch slipping, it would most likely slip more.

Perhaps the plates are worn and the cable needs adjusting.

Wear will also alter the stack height and spring.

This is my 71 Commando.
I don't think Interstate existed in 1971, but I think the previous owner installed an Interstate tank and seat.
I don't really like the Interstate tank, so I bought an Indian roadster tank and installed it. I had a tremendous amount of trouble with this. Indian made is no good.
I modified the handlebars to be up handled to give it a 70's chopper look. I have been longing for 20 years and finally got this one. Thank you very much for your patience with my poor English.

There is a lot of discussion and advice on clutch slip, on this forum.

The help you need is there somewhere.

Also note, though 200cc is the spec amount, there is an oil level drain plug on the bottom edge of primary. You are meant to add oil until it flows out the opened level cap. Need bike on level surface and straight vertically, not on side stand.

excess primary oil will also lead to excess oil getting out past the felt "seal" on the inner primary case.

Yes:

1) It will leak out of the seal behind the clutch
2) The clutch will most likely slip.

The bike has a dry clutch. The oil oils the chain and sprockets and little to none gets on the clutch plates. Put in a quart and the clutch will be continuously bathed in oil.

FWIW, the red bike in the pic is a "Fastback" (my favorite Commando configuration) not an "Interstate."

Re ATF: I've been running 200ccs (maybe a tad less) of ATF in the primary for 18 years!
Thanks for making an informative post regarding ATF. 👍

This is an English speaking forum
Maybe you should translate your comments into english if you would like help/answers.
Cheers

Rob, first you must find your Inner Zen. That's a definite when working on a Norton. After you have done that, go down to the liquor store and get yourself a bottle of Sak'e. Your Ying will then mesh with your Yang. Everything will fall into place.:)
