A little help please

Just to show you the CNW fender fits (Avon) 100/90 - 18" tire ;)
That is a seriously good looking machine.

So much going on...

Thanks again for all your help, I've ordered from CNW,
Fast eddie: need new tyres on, i was thinking of the same size/tire you have fitted, so are you planning to change stop the rubbing or do you recommend to go with another size.
Olympus: lookin good, I have the RGM kit to go onto my bike, what size tyre is that on yours.
got mine chromed for 90+vat. was the cheapest I found and did a good job with 10 day turnaround.

Mine was plated at Albion plating in Sussex £110 inc VAT & Post/packing... it was away for 14 days ..that was in late March
The quality and depth of the plating is first class

I prefer "squiffy" for trick looking bits like these. :D

If you are squiffy in the UK, you are getting a bit drunk!

If something is on squiff or squiffy, it isn't straight......

Don'tcha just love our common language!

Then you try explaining of and off ... or to too & two. ....... best of luck

Hi Olympus,
Your mudguard appears to be the welded type rather than the riveted type. Is this correct?

Thanks,
Ed

Hi Ed. The central support is riveted with four steel domed headed rivets..
When I first got the guard.and saw these I was thinking they were alloy, but the magnet test soon found otherwise.
The small headed rivets along with the decent plating job makes them nearly invisible unless your right up close

Thanks Olympus. What is your opinion concerning the durability of the riveted type that you have?

Ed

I see no issue Ed with the long term durability or reduced clamping force with the rivets
I would say A correctly installed rivet should apply equal clamping force to the original screws
Before sending for plating the central support was given a good test for security, as my concern (as previously found when plating over rivets) was that the plating wouldn't take around the outer circumference of th rivets as any contaminant could stop the plating taking...... but I have to say, no such problems have been encountered
I would certainly recommend the CNW guard it's arelly nice bit it kit
