Since my frame is 73 and engine is 74 which wiring harness should I order? I ask because I replaced the points with Boyer electronic ignition.

It's the same main harness section ('71-'74 PVC or cloth-bound).

Kerosene is oil and will permeate the friction material causing slippage . Use gasoline (petrol )or a solvent formulated specifically for this purpose .
I use kero for all my parts cleaning even my clutch plates when I service them and have never had any slippage at all from doing so still using the stock plates from new 46 years now.

Removed the left case to inspect the clutch plates. Bone dry except for a bit of sludge at the bottom. Is that normal? I don't know if this bike is dry or wet clutch.

I assumed that and figured it out. Looks like it's supposed to have either ATF or oil in it. The rubber seal where the case cover meets the case is shot in multiple places. More stuff to order.

Cleaned all the plates as good as I could with WD-40 because that's all I have and dryed them off well. Got my new rubber seals and about to put everything back. The plates were pretty much glued together with old oil or something.

I've used oven cleaner spray on the plates, which is good against oil contamination, rinsed off with brake parts cleaner. Worked nicely.

With the compressor, flatten or put a little negative camber on the spring, set in place and install the circlip.
Make sure the clip fully seats in the groove. Slowly release the compressor. Double check circlip is fully seated.
I don't see how it can be done without a compressor..

After removing the circlip, leave the compressor attached to the spring without disturbing the setting as then the spring will be set correctly for replacement. Edit: See manual, section C14, 9.
