Plugs eh!, I had an issue with plugs just the other day. Carbon fouling did for mine and now, hopefully, I've sorted it. I work on the reverse theory that I have that if it seems like carburettor issues it must be ignition!
Glad your sorted, frustrating isn't it. I could have sold many a bike if a silly offer had come my way when they played up.

Ok guys, she's running again.

Plugs.... godammit.\

I only replaced them because I had the set sitting there and I was about to throw the thing off a cliff I was so frustrated. I tried everything you guys suggested and nothing. I had spark, good strong looking spark whenever I tested for it, which I did a bunch of times because I basically turned into a chicken with it's head cut off in my garage after 4 days of this.

Changed them and she fired up after just two kicks as usual.

What I don't get is that the old plugs don't look bad at all. They're gapped correctly, a little brown/black but not oil or accumulation of anything on the electrodes...nice clean path basically.

Oh well, I don't care why anymore, she runs.

I REALLY appreciate you guys. This is one of the few (only for me of the ones I visit ) forums where one can come and everyone is helpful and nice and grown up about why we're all here, its rare in the cyber community world now days. Thank you again and sorry it was such a dumb thing that was wrong, but I learned a lot in the process, cheers

Nic

Edit: fixed spelling, I suck at spell check...

I put it down to this green alcohol contaminated fuel :( . Your motor only needs to be running a little rich or using a little oil and in no time at all the plugs will carbon foul. If the problem returns perhaps you should look at fuel mixture and oil usage or run a pair of plugs one grade hotter.
