1973 850 wiring harness

when I was younger (in the 80 's !) I was cheap and had the opportunity of 50 yards of red wire , which I used to make a new wiring for my cdo , and it works for me , but as I had done it during few days , then I need a multimeter to know where I was the previous days to continue my job .......
Open up an industrial control box, inside will be just a few colours with most as Red or Black. If the electrician has been helpful there will be small white clips on each end of the wires with the code being the same each end and a list of codes inside the panel door.

Matt /cNw made one for my '74 850 and I couldn't be happier. I gave him a list of all of the electrical components and their locations. He provides a wiring diagram with it for future reference should the need arise........
I made my own and the diagram is something I wish I would have made to go with it.
I get the layout, but it might be a bit tough for the next guy.

What is amazing is the reduction in connection numbers and harness thickness. Plus, every single connection is solid and new, so there's that. If I could offer any advice it would be to cut long and cut late in the process. My oil temp wire and a 14g to the battery were both a bit too short. Next time...

That would be confusing!! all in red!
