Working on this machine again after a year of being too busy.
Problem I am having is on install of inner primary. Left side of hole is flush with the crankcase extrusion, right side of hole is raised/has a 1/16” lip. I have checked for anything interfering, taken the center mount stud out and I still have the same issue.
I did a quick vernier check of the diameter of crankcase extrusion and hole in the primary. There are some small deviations in the primary hole. Before I go lightly filing this hole (and messing up the primary) or send it to a machine shop for dressing, is there anything else I can/should do? Some INOA members offered tips and I have tried them to no success. I’ll have to look up how to post photos tomorrow. What I thought would be a fruitful day getting my primary wrapped up has led to 8 hours of what the heck?!
