OCR9F 68 Commando your bikes in a music video!

Thought this might be of interest to whoever owns OCR9F your commando is in a music video! Interesting to see the Lawton and Wilson sticker on the sidepanel assuming that was a period bike shop.

While looking for colour references for my 68 Commando came across this clip, interesting to see the badges look like they are reflective and catching the light as I'd seen a few examples off. Down to a few possibilities of what I'm thinking of painting mine now.
BS227 Deep Brunswick green
Jaguar BLVC 254
or GN-29 which I've just got a spray out for

Anyways hope we all enjoy great clip and interesting to see a few period changes to!

Interesting technique at 1:04 - using the kickstart to get it off the centre-stand. I think he may have been lucky to not drop it.
Must have been a special "heavy-arse" model by the way the font wheel is spinning at the end.

That's why I thought I'd post it when I stumbled on it on youtube looked out of interest and was surprised to see it was still being ridden my good deed for the day never know if they are on here or not wonder if it's been painted silver.

Helped quite a bit in my search for colours for my 68 ordering a Can of BS227 deep brunswick green on Monday to do a spray out found a gelcoat company thats been going since the 60s and they only have a handful of greens listed one being BS227 Deep Brunswick green and they have it listed as British Racing Green which seems likely to me with some other information I've got and what someone mentioned on here a bit ago, will be interesting to compare it to some spray outs I've got of GN-29.

heres my take , domestic market bikes were a solid non metallic gel coat green, like in the video. Then they were shipped to the states, the distributors hated the drab looking green and painted them. Either red or candy apple green.See the difference here, BTW the early badges were reflective.

yes that is gel coat on the left and an original tank " factory?" painted. Ask Brain Slark, he judged my bike at Barbers a few years ago .

It always baffled me why the UK bikes were just plain gelcoat colours while everyone else got the far more attractive schemes.

Another forum member posted this one a while ago; I believe it was called Sapphire blue.
