Heading to Utah tomorrow from here, will be there for a few days (580 miles) hwy 25 north to hwy 80 west
Then heading south to Vegas for a night (480 miles) hwy 15
Then to SoCal for the week, business meetings and friends (260 miles)
Then across to Arizona Prescott Valley to see Ron (397 miles) hwy 10
Then up to Southern Colorado to see Matt and Chuck (370 miles)
Then home (400 miles) across beeeeutiful Colorado mountains

Cant wait to get on the road!

That should take care of the anxiety. I got to get out :)

Cheers

Awesome. I’m seriously envious Jerry !
Yes, looking forward to getting on the road. Been a nightmare catching up with work so I can actually go, but ready now... weather should be good other than a possibility of hail storms on first bit.

Had a good trip from Colorado to Utah yesterday. Did 560 miles. 85-90 mph most of the way on cruise control. 40+ Mph wind gusts on hwy 80. Not too much of a problem for the Harley. Saw only one cop.

Staying with friends and heading to Vegas tomorrow. I think that’s another 400 or 500 miles.

ONE night in Vegas?!
That's it?
Really?!

We are going to need pictures upon your return...stay safe and DFU.

Sounds like a great run. Those states have some of the nicest scenic roads and a motorcycle is the best way to experience them.
Travel safe.

Hi all, another 500 miles today, sorry still no photos as been riding all day. In Vegas now. Will take some pics when I get to California for you :) bike is running great. It won’t go over 90 on cruise control, so been doing 88 all day. Serious torque... sounds great with the screaming eagle stage 1.

it’s nice and warm here 90 degrees. My mrs says they are going to have another snow storm in Colorado. Damn

and 2 days ago I was telling Matt how cold and wet it is home here, and he said it’s 80° there

or did he mean 40° in the morning and 40° in the afternoon? ;)

sunny California. Way too much traffic, but nice to be back. Will be here till Sunday and then over the AZ

I got home from my tour on the Harley. Did 2860 miles all together. The bike was brilliant.

I was riding up through the Navaho Indian reservation at about 90 (cruise control does not work above 90). Stopped to fuel up near 4 corners and noticed my favorite leather had flown off the back of the bike. Very pissed off, I was. A lady at the gas/ petrol station saw how distressed I was and came over to tell me she saw it fly off the back of the bike 30 miles back when I was passing a truck. I rode back and found it in the middle of the road, very lucky. It had been run over a few times. Glad I found it as needed it the next day for intense weather.

After I left Matt's to travel up Colorado to home, the weather took a dive really badly. Overall I had 200-300 miles of rain, sleet, snow, ice and white out conditions (was 425 miles all together). Was really crappy and probably the worst conditions I have ever ridden in, took 8 hours. I thought my feet were going to get frost bite, was registering 27 degrees F at the coldest when I checked. Harley was brilliant, even in those conditions I was able to ride at 65-70 on the straights. Heated grips worked well. It was bad though. Happy to be home now.

Brrrrr....

Bet you were glad of that faring Jerry !
The Harley was brilliant in every way. The fairing iced up and icicles were hitting the top of the helmet and flying over me, was pretty crazy. I have ridden like 20 miles or so like this before, but it went on for hundreds of miles. I had good weather gear and was prepared, except for my feet were freezing literally. I might be rethinking electric warm weather gear next time... yes I am sure there will be a next time. It was exhausting
