Best looking Interstate seat?

My seat is, well, hard. I could get some new seat foam but I also want to look at some other options.

There are many places selling cafe seats and I suspect they are all made in the same place. Who knows.

This is a nice low seat. It still retains the ability to carry a passenger although I never will.

I've also been looking at this seat and it can look really different depending on the angle.

There are also some seats with the big hump on the back and they look huge.

What do you like?

Readily available from Corbin, with plenty of no additional cost materials and stitching. You will be more if you want it heated. They are busy this time of year so lead times are longer, but they are not inexpensive. I do not recommend the "carbon fiber" covering for the seating surface.

The seat for my W-650 became a butt burner in less than 30 minutes of riding time. I took it to my local upholstery guy who has done a lot of motorcycle and car seats for me and he added gel cells and I can ride all day; cost me 150 to get it back and it is indistinguishable from stock in appearance. Point is that you can have your seat made more comfortable and get it re contoured if you want a butt stop or some other change(s).

They don’t list an Interstate seat just the Roadster.
 
If Corbin then take care. I hear they don't make "off the shelf" for Interstates because of the variety of tank lengths.

If true, then you could have problems with other suppliers.
 
Swoosh - you may recall I am working on a dual seat for my Interstate - will look like Corbin but shorter hump.
Is currently stalled at the pan-welding stage.
I'll have to pull my finer out and finish it.
I did start a thread on it and will put more info there soonish

The seat photo posted looks like a roadside break every 30 minutes to let your lower half get the circulation going again.

The lines of the Corbin seat FE has on his bike enhances both the lines and overall appearance of an Interstate.
IMO the stance of a Corbin seat sits very nicely on a Commando and difficult to improve on.

Or you could build your own.
 
Gotta agree with RoadScholar, I would work with a local upholstery shop that you trust and get the padding and shape that you want. If you buy a new seat, it is a crapshoot. My stock repro Interstate seat was too soft, and after an hour, I was sitting on the pan. I have two Corbins for my VFR. One seat is shaped like a tractor seat, and it is great for an hour, then a PITA cause you can't slide around and reposition yourself. The other Corbin is more like a stock bench seat, and it gives you multiple positions and pressure points and is comfortable for many hours.
I bought a Corbin seat for my Norton roadster, and it looked cool, but I didn't like the seat to tank gap so I sent it back. Maybe just a bad build, who knows.

I like the Corbin on the Roadster.
 
You're paying for it and I have faith in your taste Dave. I'm sure your choice shall be pleasing to us all.

I had Matt at CNW cut down a base from Corbin and then he sent it to them for the cover. I am very pleased with it and is very comfortable for riding all day. I am small and my weight is only 130lbs.This may be a factor for some but for me it works great and the locking system is superb.

As of 2 mos.ago Corbin does not offer a cut-down seat for an Interstate model.

I see the Vietnamese offer Corbin knock offs on ebay....
Will admit I'd gravitate towards your second example if the interstate tank was a must, though these things need to be seen 'in the flesh' and in their correct environment for a proper appraisal, IMHO..
