Well Fury went down twice, Wilder was stated as the more aggressive fighter, (I have only seen short sections of this fight as on the news) so it ended up been judged a draw- they should both get back in the ring and slug it out until there is a winner!
Yes he did go down twice, but that only means he loses those two rounds.
Anyone who says Wilder was the more aggressive fighter in the other 10 was watching a different fight!
He actually looked like he genuinely didn't know what to do with Furry. Wilder was basically looking for the big put down shot the whole fight. Furry was boxing. But in his very unorthodox style. Furry doesn't follow normal protocol, he's a very awkward b*stard to fight.
He's also (I believe) the first person Wilder has fought who is taller than him. So he couldn't deploy his devastating overhand right as easily as usual.
And he must be the toughest person he's ever fought, the expression on Wilders face when Furry got up after being put down with two real good shots for the second time was priceless. The poor bloke must have really thought "right, I got nuthin now, how the hell do I fight this guy"!!
Judging issues aside, it was a great fight. Furry was amazing considering it was only his third fight after a two year booze and drug filled lay off. If he stays this focused, and on the wagon, he's gonna get better and better. If he does that, he'll be undisputed champ.
Can't wait for the re match. Or one of them fighting AJ.
The 3 of them have certainly livened up the heavyweight class again.
