If this has been discussed before, please point me to it

With an Atlas swing arm, If I use an 18 wheel, what is the widest wheel and tire that I can use?

I have seen someone mention ‘scalloping’ the swing arm

I imagine that means cutting the arms off, angling them a little more and then cutting and kinking the arms, but I don’t know

Anyone know about this?

Thanks

Unless you are building a track bike, your plan is extremely hazardeous. As are most chassis parts, the swinging arm is a critical load-carrying member which has undergone extensive testing, inspection and heat treatment at the factory.
If you value your life and that of others, you should not think about messing with this part. If an accident happens which can be attributed to your tampering, you will loose insurance cover, and counterparts could sue you for negligent damage.
Would you risk altering the trailing arms of your car? I hope not. Leave it be.
