Why can’t I start my bike?

I’m
Sounds very much like ethanol fuel deposits in the smallest of passages has ruined the fun.
If you're not carb comfortable, bribe a talented friend with unlimited beer... it always worked when we were younger....
Not quite ”carb comfortable” yet but I’m getting there. Most everything I do on this bike is a first for me. Learning as I go so to speak. This bike will not defeat me!

Thought of that also. All good, no vacuum lock.
Typically, a blocked tank vent will show itself under high fuel flow, (WOT) or during a cooling event, removed from a warm garage, ridden fast in cold weather. Idling is rarely a problem.

Use the wire method on all of the smallest circuits of carb/s … finicky but not difficult , once done you will prolly be smiling out on road …

Leaving for the shop soon to do just that.

Are you opening the throttle at all when trying to start. Enricher will not work with an open throttle.

The third time cleaning the carb was the charm! I disassembled the carb and used a torch tip cleaner in all passageways and orifices. Then I cleaned with carb cleaner and reassembled. Reinstalled the carb, fuel taps on, enricher on, throttle closed, pushed start button and she fired up,

It was popping so I turned the air screw in a 1/4 turn and it quieted down pretty good. I initially had the air screw at 1 1/2 turns out so I think it will be ok. The weather is shitty rain and cold today (50F) so I’ll finish sorting it tomorrow. 68F and sunny weather tomorrow and it only gets better from then on. The temps are forecasted to be 90F by next Tuesday. It’s riding time!!!

Thanks to all for all the help

Brilliant

Thought I would update this thread. Rode for 150 miles today and the bike ran flawlessly! It was a beautiful, sunny day but pretty windy. Getting buffeted by the wind is tiring for sure. Going to start taking some longer cruises as my confidence in this bike progresses. My main worry right now is running out of fuel with the itty bitty roadster tank. Lol!

I prefer the Roadster tank and seat, but ended up switching to Interstate to extend the range. I notice the extra weight when the tank's full!
