Where to find ethanol free gas

As I understad, the best thing is to go to the nearest General Aviation airport and get 100LL Avgas.

I have a different issue with ethanol. The 5.5KVA generator in my motor-home is an Onan, and the handbook says "NO Etnahol". The generator draws from the main vehicle tank, and it's not easy to find stations selling ethanol free fuel on the West Coast of the US, and many that do can't handle a 32' long x 8' 6" wide x 12' high vehicle. Also, at 7.5 miles per US gallon, paying an extra 75 cents a gallon, even if I could find ethanol-free isn't very enticing. I just don't use the generator.
 
Frank, that's coincidental. I work part time at the family RV store. In the last 2 days I have had 2 Onan's that don't work. One I cleaned the carb and it will only run if I mess with the choke, and even then it still won't rev. The other one is brand new, put gas to it the first time and it floods out the intake and exhaust. Uggg...
 
All gensets that don't get regular exercise should be converted to propane and forgotten about till needed now and then. Still noisy things so nicer to everyone to avoid turning it on. Mileage suffers some on ethanol and might want to dump in some Heet and gas stabilizer if storing ethanol in camper gas tanks.
 
I have a friend that owns a power equipment store, and he says ethanol in the fuel causes no end of probblems in small engines. Landscapers who run their equipment every day have the least probblems because of fresh fuel.

Those of us who run power equipment less offten should run fuel stabilizer and run the carb dry after every use.

I've run race gas in my generator for the last several years with no issues.
 
I run my mower and genset dry. Chainsaws are usually put up wet....problems with rubber tube deterioration occurs.

Problem with av-gas is with air port security as it is....one cannot taxi up to the pumps on your 2 wheeler or F150 with 6 Jerry cans in the bed. one has to hand carry the cans thru the av services front office. if you are lucky, there is a personnel gate you can exit thru....if you can find the guy with the key.
