Vanson is top notch to be sure . I can’t comment on the gear that accepts armor from experience but I don’t think you will have a problem.
A few years back I sent my original model A to them for zipper repair - the jacket had seen half a lifetime or more of use and it showed . I actually got a personal phone call from the boss lady chiding me for not taking better care of it - that’s how much they care for what they make and sell.

I promised myself a new one when I finished my Commando build and my wife and daughters chipped in so now I have two - truly heirloom quality as I’ll never get rid of my original and with any luck I’ll last long enough to have the second one broken in like the first .

Since my life up to this point has left me somewhat "distressed", I'm considering something similar in a leather jacket.

Given the number of models they make, and the prices, I couldn't imagine any bike shop stocking much of their stuff. So... I just ordered one :)
You won’t be sorry - have a white candle ready to rub on the zippers as they will be VERY stiff.

Vanson is top quality stuff. Here in the UK everyone raves about Lewis Leathers, but the Vanson is leagues ahead. I have had a Model E jacket for a few years now, it needed a new zip a while back. The repairer was able to get the correct length zip from Vanson, and I lubricate the new zip with Loctite PTFE 'superlube'.

p.s. Googling 'superlube' may not come up with the Loctite product.
