Whats your engine number ?
Phillips head type stuff didn't appear until the Mk 3. (?).
Suspicion being they were running short of stuff towards the end...

If you had read through the thread you'd know that wasn't the case and unlikely to be anything to do with them running short of things as 06-5222 screws are what's listed in the 2/2A parts supplement.

Cross-head screws on Commandos and other British motorcycles were POZIDRIV.

So why didn't my Mk 2 have posidriv screws in the front guard ??

It proudly had a set of slightly rusty hex head small bolts, same as my Mk 1.

If you've read the thread then you should know it appears some Mk2/2A had Pozi and some did not.

Whether those that did were 'early' or 'late' Mk2/2A and whether that is the reason why is as yet unclear but 06-5222 is what's listed in the 2/2A supplement.

Remind us where this previous on posidriv mudguard bolts is ?

When I search, can't find a search combination that finds anything ?
Can recall the timing cover screws discussion.
