Cosmo got it right, this gender thing is a sliding scale in biology or machinery.
Its kind of universal principle like yin-yang, hot-cold, hard-soft etc-ditto.
In relation to Triumphs Nortons do have more balls and therefore more masculine than a Turnip bike, but either BI brand compared to a gnarly 110 cid big Twin are ballerina feminine or at least borderline gay bikes : )
But then again what evokes thought of one gender also depends on on the beholder. I for one don't see 300mm wide tires as feminine, more reminds me of full bottom women. Narrow tires don't strike me as wimpy but offering up a stiffer longer patch print. Yet I can also see big tire vs small tire as muscle mass which flips the whole gender concept inside out.
Human minds are hard wired to see patterns, even when there ain't any, like in white noise blank screen or clouds.
Heck one Commando vs another can be dramatic masculine or feminine flavor.
In my case its mostly what I do with them or they do to me. I've got very intimate with various males, easy as intense or more so than hetro sex, drawn out blood fights, trapped in caves and some rescues. No fun at all - got it!
But when I go down with my bikes, I know its always my fault, just like being married - duh!
