Hey,

That center console is in fact a CNW part. Its a new development that I am using on all my std rebuilds. I never intended to offer it up for sale but many customers that has seen it wanted it so I am offering it at this time.

In the past I made a steel console that fit on the stock Commando trees. It was ok but pretty basic in my opinion. So when I designed our new billet triple trees I needed something that matched the quality and look of those. Its a pretty cool piece that starts out as a 7 lb block of aluminum and when pulled out of the CNC machine...it weighs in at 7 oz (anyone need some aluminum chips ?) The fit with the trees and instruments is very nice and tight.

Heres the thing though. It actually mounts on the handlebar clamps on my trees, so it wont work on the std triple clamps.

Its not up on the site yet and that is true for several new items and gallery updates with bikes recently delivered. This because I am in the middle of creating a new website (will be launced in the next 60 days or so) and we are kind of putting a hold on the current one while the new one is being created.

Do you have a picture of the underside? Are the warning lights stock or LEDs?

Of course that piece won't do me any good.

Swoosh,

I am not sure I have one of the underside, but I am actually building two of them up as we speak, so I will take some shots.

I am using both LED's and incandescent warning lights depending on what they do and how they are hooked up as some applications wont allow an LED light to be used (at least the ones that I have, not sure that it applies to all LED types) So for instance, if I use just one light for the turnsignals, I have to use an incandescent since both the left and the right turnsignal leads will go through it (each hooked up to one of the leads from the warning light). However if I use a seperate left and right turnsignal light, then I can use my LED's since one of my leads from those LED's lights needs to be grounded.

Anyway, if it will help you out, or at least give you an option to consider, look at my gallery at pictures of #045 and #060. They show the old style console pretty well. If using it you would want to install your gauges in stock instrument cups and I dont know if you have room for that with the brackets for the fairing in that area.

I still have several lasercut blanks for those old style consoles and I can make one up if you need it. I have them with 2 or 4 warning lights.

If you need a better shot of that console, e-mail me at the shop nortonworks@fone.net and I will get you some pics.

Thanks Matt but I don't need anything as elaborate at this time for this bike. I actually just need something to hold about 3 idiot lights and maybe a switch.

But back to your LED conundrum, I believe to get the single indicator light to work with the turn signals you need a couple diodes (but only if the turn signals are not LEDs). I haven't built this out and officially tested it but you might want to keep tabs. And you know there will be pictures and probably a video if it works.
