I spoke to the boss of Krazy Horse at Excel show: he said they have plenty of typical service items, and are in contact with the makers. They also have a new branch at Chipping Norton, Oxon, where an ex Norton after sales chap works, and can do servicing while you wait, assuming an appointment. Really nice guy.

I can vouch for KH. Serviced my 961 a couple of times while I waited. Lot to see there with a great cafe, some very interesting bikes and a selection of clothing and helmets. If you get bored, walk round the corner and look at their Indians and Morgan cars. Nice bunch of petrol heads. Long may they survive.

Plus one for KH, they serviced mine, talked me through it, let me see, etc. Really got a feel that the guys know what they’re doing and are conscientious about their work.

KH at Bury would now be my closest service point, they only a couple of mile further out than Donington was, so will be my preferred choice now.

I service my own 961 & there’s really nothing difficult about it, EFI issues aside. All the basic service items (plugs, oil, filters etc) are readily available. The air filter is washable, similar to a K&N, who sell a product to do this.

Keep the receipts for the parts &
write the bike’s mileage on them as evidence that the work’s been done.

After ordering filter from UK I got it in reasonable time. UK 961 servicing REALLY! This is the oil filter for a "Modern" motorcycle! Bosch P 9147, there has to be a better constructed filter that fits a 961?

Good enough for Mercedes, which is what it cross references to. Its not the packaging etc that matters, its the elements ability to filter thats important.
