I was wondering if there was any proposed meet-ups on the Island during race week?
I’ll be there from tomorrow night (Tuesday 28th) until Sunday after race week. Won’t be on my Commando though, we’re camping as it’s only 30 miles to the ferry we take a bigger tent, table, chairs, cooking gear etc. It is completely at odds with our normal touring set up which is super minimalist but as the boat is so close I can cope with the extra weight for an hour and we camp in one spot when at the TT so there’s no upping sticks every day.
I'm off early Mad Sunday, so I will miss the Superbike race, and staying until Tuesday after race week so may possibly get to watch the Post TT for the first time. I'm staying in a "Homestay" near to Signpost Corner.
This will be my 3rd visit to the Isle of Man with the Commando.
I’ll keep my eyes open for you.
I think we met in Castletown on Sunday, I came over to have a look at your bike and we chatted about the Lansdowne fork conversion. Anyway further to what I said I've backed off the compression a little more and that seems to have done the trick.
Yes, that was me. Nice to put a name to a face or is it the other way around?
Funny that we didn't realise at the time. Thanks again for the advice on the forks it's done the trick See you at TT 2020
I also meant to say you have a cracking 750, lovely looking bike
Thanks, it got a few looks during the week with some positive comments but probably a few "Old Shite" thoughts too, lol.
Some of the non-racing fun-and-games: Check out McGuiness's leathers and the chrome Norton.
Great looking bike
