Trouble bleeding madass 140 master cylinder setup

It has been a long restoration. I waited about 18 months to get the engine back. I havent had the bike on the road yet. Just waiting for the snow to clear now. The brakes have had fluid in them for a few weeks. Just got back to bleeding them again in anticipation of the bikes maiden voyage. The only other work that I did was rebuild the caliper. I appreciate the replacement greatly. That is above and beyond what I would have expected. Thank you. I would gladly cover the shipping to mail this caliper back so that you can inspect it to make sure its not user error. I have been impressed with all of your products. I also have your throttle cable kit and rearsets and am very satisfied.

well I have just tested 45 mastercylinders and only found 1 that I wasnt completely happy with, I removed about 15thou
off the lever and its ok. The small port is closed when the end of the lever (ball end) travels about 5/16" - 3/8" towards the
handlebar.

Josh bought one of my mastercylinders, not a resleeve kit which comes with shims which usually are not needed

Didn't read all the posts due to time restraints but a little trick I learned over years of bleeding uncooperative HD brake systems is to.....
Remove the cap, top up the fluid, get a cable tie and tie the lever back to the handle bar/grip in the applied position and walk away. Leave it over night and in the morning, top up the fluid and "VIOLA" should be self bled.
Even works with multiple caliper's on a single hydraulic line.
If you can bleed this set up like this, you can bleed anything.

I am having trouble bleeding my front brake. I have the 1/2” master cylinder sold by madass 140, like this http://www.tritonmotorcycleparts.com/297620485/product/515646/norton-brakes?catid=146825. I have rebuilt my caliper with stainless pistons and used a new stainless line. I have traditional bled, vacuum bled a ridiculous amount of times, gravity bled, reverse bled, and ziptied the lever down with the master at the highest level a couple of times. The ziptie trick seems to work for a bit, but goes back to bad shortly after. I dont have any visible leaks, and I teflon taped the bleeder valve threads(only the threads) for the last round of bleeding. The lever still comes too close to the handlebar. The new restore is ready for a road test and the weather is warming, so I am anxious to figure this out. I have never had this much trouble bleeding brakes. Anyone else have this problem? Thanks.
hmm, that is weird...FWIW I installed one a few years ago and did a very quick traditional bleed and it has worked fine ever since (aside from the BL switch failing). Did the rebuilt caliper work OK w/ the original MC?

I rebuilt the caliper at the same time I installed the master cylinder. I will update the thread if the new master cylinder that Don sent fixes the issue. If not, Im just an idiot.

Well, even if you're just an idiot, we still wanna know what happens. :)
Please keep us posted either way?

Sorry for the late response. I had to leave town for work before I was able to install the replacement master cylinder that Don sent me. Well Ive installed it and reverse bled it twice. It works great already. Thanks for all the help and Don for the replacement master cylinder.

I like how the top caliper has the bleeder oriented toward the bottom.
