Triumph front fender bracket 1970

I don't usually work on Triumphs but...if I recall correctly there are two different front fender brackets. This is the small somewhat triangular plate with a slot and bolts to the fork slider. On one model it points forward almost 90 degrees to the fork leg. For another model it points up perhaps 30 degrees. The result is a higher front fender for "off road / competition" use. I discovered this a few decades ago. I contacted a shop in southern California and he had no idea what I was talking about. Is my memory playing tricks on me?
 
I can answer your questions now. The plates angled upward are for the "C" models...competition...to allow for knobby tires. Apparently the hoop fender stays are different, too. Another minefield to walk into.
