TR6R Alternator Rotor Stuck

The rotor on my '70 TR6R refuses to disengage from the crank. I have tried to lever it off, but it won't budge. A bearing puller won't fit and I do not want to damage the primary chain; I have not tried heat yet.

Any suggestions?

Best.

I had a similar issue on the A65, p/o had used green locktite on the bloody thing, I ended up drilling and tapping holes to use my standard sprocket puller, destroys rotor obviously but it worked

It’s not on a taper, so there should not be anything mechanical holding it that tight. Although some of the newer pattern parts are allegedly a tight fit.

Therefore I’d also be inclined to think loctite.

Heat and shock is what I’d try.

gentle waving of a small propane blue wrench whilst having levers, soft mallet handy.....Good Luck

Got it off using the methods suggested. I have extra rotors which are a tight fit, but can be worked for the proper fit. I am not a fan of heat and hammers, but they made it possible to get the rotor off.

Many thanks for the suggestions!

Best.
