That has happened to me before grandpaul.
Yep it happened to me yesterday on my BSA b50
Pressed the tickler down and held it and nothing
So I bounced the float until dripped out

Ethanol usage in gasoline has taken us far down numerous rabbit holes.

Every 2 years for me, but I've had flat tires in the past and leaky fork seals also.

Reminds me I've got to take the beastie girl for a spin tomorrow if she's so inclined..... Only the Shadow knows for sure.

Bugger! I can't find the tickler on my Keihin FCRs - anyone know where I should look? (be polite!!)

For the definitive answer to the tickler question I think we would need to see how it is translated in the French version of the Amal user's manual.
I think Japanese would be funniest. I’ve seen some hilarious Japanese to English translations before !

It’s the o ring on the fuel valve housing.

When that o ring perishes the carbs flood superbly !
It’s a serious point though Rob. I only use zero / low ethanol ‘super unleaded’ but these still perished. They’re a unique size, so well worth getting some in stock and checking once in a while. If they start to leak and you‘re using the K&N filter adaptors, you won’t even know, leaking fuel will simply flow into the inlet ports…

Sentir mon doigt..... Pity the innuendo is just lost in translation

I bought a spot light bar from a well known DIY emporium some years ago. When I wanted another, I googled its product name to try and find a shop that had them in stock.

It came up as a Japanese word for incest.

I have been known to jiggle the ticklers, I 'know' it doesnt make any difference, but I was hoping to bring the carbs to the point of flooding without having petrol gushing out and leaving me with smelly fingers.

The best ones are the ones done by a Mexican who knows a little bit of English, and a little bit of Japanese...
