Throttle cable stuck

I had a throttle jam at full open on the Dorking bypass near the bikers meet at Box Hill. In the 1980s when I was young. Nearly ruined my entire life

It might. Removing slides and polishing with Solvol is best IMO. The same to the carb body where the slide goes. Any scratches rubbing will then show up, if they haven't already.
Twin cables from throttle is worse than single cable to junction box. The former is harder to keep in tune.
