Totally unmolested. It was a rather smart bike for the money when I got done with it.Nice!! Did they modify the frame at all or just throw on some extended forks and a different tank?
Nice '74 on bring a trailer now
Rejuvenated 1974 Norton Commando 850 Is a Fine Piece of British Motorcycling History
We think Norton’s icon looks seriously rad wearing bronze paintwork, though the more common black color scheme is still our favorite.www.autoevolution.com
I’m also pretty curious what that will go for. I’ll get a pretty good idea what mine is worth….. mine won’t be for sale (probably ever) but cool to knowJust saw this norton at Mecum Las Vegas auction today .
super nice restoration .
even had the unobtanium white rubbercaps under the headlight halo ring .
will watch to see what it goes for on Friday.
I will be working the show that day .
there were some other commandos there as well .
I've got a pair of those, in a TINY ziploc baggie, with a tiny part number sticker on it.even had the unobtanium white rubbercaps under the headlight halo ring .

...now, where did I leave those little beauties?...
Too stiff, no?Paul,
Might be a perfect candidate for a 3D printer project.
I have been looking at A65s, quite like the look of the grey painted OiF bikes. They arent going for silly money (yet). I feel the need for another toy / money pit.reme

That's what she said!Too stiff, no?
I have an original set on mine, I don’t know if they were soft when they left the factory but I would not consider it “soft” they are not as hard as 3d printed parts either… the best comparison I can come up with is it’s similar to the front fork dust guardsThat's what she said!
Not sure what you mean by that, or are they more like a soft vinyl end cap. I have never seen them in person, just assumed they were a hard plastic.
