The Real Way of Hanging the Oil Tank?

Bolts are 1/4" X 1/4" UNF, and it looks like the Lords are UNC, so you will need new nuts.

I dont know what the dims are on the C'do ones, but I think the Harley ones are same size, but wider thickness (ebayer term) rubber

THICKNESS: - 3/4" in thickness (I think this guy meant what I would call diameter - side to side)

DIAMETER: - 1" with 1/4-20 threads.

1/2" stud length on each end.

I have an extra central type oil tank if anyone wants it.

the ebay photo was just to show the type of lords mount used several areas of cdo"s> brit vendors have these part numbered or shop a harley place for a bit heavier version that may or may not fit just right

Lord Corp. is a manufacturer with hundreds of engineers and my point is that an actual Lord piece is going to have better elastomeric properties than a cheap generic copy of a Lord mount. As soon as I find a suitable part number, I will post it. I am sure it is going to perform better than any el cheapo mount bought on ebay or in an aftermarket motorcycle shop.

Actually, Lord makes the mounts on new Harleys, (and Airbus and Boeing for that matter).

Genuine Lord pieces say Lord and have the part number on them.

I think I used the exhaust mounts (bigger) and no bottom mount. But then I used industrial Velcro to hold the tank to the battery box.
