The GS is the better buy plus you can work on it in the field. I rode a Pan, wasn't impressed with the on road handling nor the fit and finish of the controls. they felt cheap. The pan also has been eating batteries while sitting from parasitic drain. It rides top heavy unlike the GS which has low center of gravity Windscreen is too low and unlike the GS there wont be to many aftermarket parts for them. So much more options for aftermarket from BMW and Touratec as wellWould you buy the pan america out of those 3 bikes?
You'd like the end where he sez the pan am is shi...........I had to stop watching that guy. About the worst review I ever seen. So much so he didn’t even know where he was lol. I can’t take a guy with a Fanny pack seriously.
Dr. Bob has already addressed this I thought . There will be a Service Center in each country , Or is it each continent ? All kidding aside , How does Tesla do it ? In a big country you would need say 4 centers , in Europe 1 per country ? Lets see how it works in England first ! Doesn't CCM use a traveling service center van/panel truck ? There is some advantage to this , they bring a truck to your home and have a workshop in the back . They can stock parts in there , even engines. If they can't fix it there , they bring it back on the next loop around. This would appeal to many , just think about. You place a call , give you a date and time appox they will come get your bike and bring it back. When it comes back they test it for you right on the spot , you take it for a spin and come back smiling . This works especially for those who can afford this kind of premium bike , most folks will love this I think !Wow,
No dealer network?
I wonder if Norton plan on selling bikes worldwide, not just in the UK?
How will those folks get warranty work performed on their bikes?
Is there a danger that the Norton project will just fizzle out!!Going back through this thread, mention is made that Solihull has the capacity to build ten thousand bikes a year???
Can they sell ten thousand V4s?? (rhetorical question)
No dealer network suggests 'bread and butter' models are a long way off....
I think I understand what you are saying ! How long is the window of opportunity for TVS ? I have been asking what is happening for the last year for goodness sake . First quarter of 2022 is almost over ! And why not post progress on their webpage ? It is hard to wait , especially when there is no word . Same thing happening with Harley for me . I am waiting for the new Rev Max engine in a yet to be announced platform. And frankly HD is likely to get my money first .Is there a danger that the Norton project will just fizzle out!!
I hope not but what is happening?
You’re better off going with the HD as far as parts and supply. Not to mention the dealer network.I think I understand what you are saying ! How long is the window of opportunity for TVS ? Awesome ! Did you have a ride on it ? Yes I like it , but did not drive it.You’re better off going with the HD as far as parts and supply. Not to mention the dealer network.
What model of HD peaks your interest? I looked at the new Sportster S and in the flesh it’s way to small for me and to much plastic for my taste. But she does get up and go.
Yes. It’s far different that your normal Harley. The power is awesome and the handling isn’t bad at all, the only complaint one may have is the small amount of rear suspension travel.Awesome ! Did you have a ride on it ? Yes I like it , but did not drive it.
