We swapped quite a few PM's over the years on all manner of subjects. He was a very intelligent (but humble) man.

I remember machining a double interference fit top hat adapter over 7++ years ago to suit a new speedometer drive for Roberts Norton Atlas.
No charge of course, but with my address needed on the international post paperwork, he used that to send me two very nice key rings (One Triumph, one Norton) which came as a very present surprise.
A good man for sure and will not be forgotten.

Sorry to hear. Wish I had the benefit of meeting him in person. He was always so helpful , and straightforward in his responses with no nonsense. Anyone know, what was his profession?
