Does anyone know where I can find a template for drilling the holes for the mounting hardware on a 72 Side Cover. I purchased my Commando from a guy on the East Coast. The side cover was cracked so he had it refiberglassed and painted. I arranged for shipping rather quickly and he didn't have a chance to drill and mount the repaired cover. Given that I have never seen what it supposed to look like, any guidance would be great!

Thanks! You know, your picture gave me an idea, I could use a glue gun to adhere the bracket (becuase it easily comes off) to test for the best location to mount it, then use epoxy to permanently adhere it to the cover.

That is an earlier cover and the bracket may be in a slightly diff location. My bracket attaches to the top.

Yes - '72 cover bracket attaches underneath top edge with I think 3 pop rivets.

Yes that cover is early 70 not 72 ,so if you are a stickler for originality you need a true 72 cover. Rivet not glue or epoxy, these creatures shake like a leaf remember.

Hope you can cipher the markings. That's what I get for grabbing the machinist ruler. Need a batter for my calipers. Maybe tomorrow if you need the measurements again.
