I don't know, but I'll soon find out
. The crash did break the two mounting posts off the head (the ones that hold the tach into the chrome cover), but I managed to super glue and JBweld the plastic bits back together well enough to mount the tach with no visible damage. I'm guessing that the shock that broke the mounts was enough to damage the internals. I have nothing to lose at this point by taking it apart. I might even be able to find out who made it, and see if they can provide a replacement. I'm assuming that if I can find one from another brand bike, I might be able to just swap the dial face to still have the Norton logo. At worst, I can probably find an aftermarket replacement with similar dimesions, but I really would like to keep the Norton logo to match the speedo.
