Switch Gear??

Hi gents, i have acquired a Lucas switch gear half 169SA also purchased Extended clutch lever mounting 063678CA & Left switch gear mounting screws 062488SAK from RGM... all good so far until i offer the two components together on the bars with the screws.... there not long enough.
The screws are 10-24 UNC and 15mm long
Checking on AN for the 72 Model year which i would guess as a pre Mk3 they do appear to be about the right length. But on the 73 model year the screws are the same 10-24 UNC but now have jumped to 50mm

I can easily buy longer screws & cut them down, but my question what is different about the clutch lever mounting and/or the switch gear that requires 35mm longer screws??

Another AN foul-up I believe as the 50mm screws are for attaching the master cylinder.

Edit: Yes, an error on the '73 parts book diagram where the LH cluster screws are also marked as item '27' and they should be '26'.
