Superbowl

Sunny Bill could have played NFL ball any position he wanted

the padded/helmeted games are played higher speeds by much bigger men ….
Really?
So explain how do those guys wth all that PPE actually run faster and harder than elite athletes in games where the players don't have those encumbrances?
Me thinketh you speaketh with forked tongue!

Because they are bigger, faster and stronger :)

How do you think they got bigger, faster and stronger ;)
I'd like to see how they fared in a top level game of rugby (union or league)
BTW these are games where the same players play 2 x 40 minute halves in both offence and defence

don’t forget injury time , plus I wonder does the play clock stop during referee discussions on what just happened or is it added into the injury time estimate at game end…. I will say rugby there is more standing around ( clock running )than NFL , and also that an hour game of football left me worse off than 80 or so minutes of rugby …. When you compare both games from players perspective it similar but not much , football play starts from 1yd apart minimum , rugby you rubbing heads , rugby field bigger so more movement less hitting ( blocking) downfield , not often in rugby do players lunge/fly headfirst at opponent at full speed leading with head , or helmet , which is how game taught to beginners , just a couple glaring examples …. any size man can play either game , bigger men play up front-in both … only FB do big fast men get several yds 7-8 to build up speed for a tackle …

I read a while ago that the actual time of play for an average NFL game is 15 min

And yeah, NFLers probably can’t play rugby, but rugby players probably can’t play in the NFL

I find soccer boring. My kids are into (premier league) but i find it boring. A bunch of running around playing keep away with the ball

Rugby is better. I have no ifea what cricket is. Is it baseball?

Super Bowl - don’t know if shown in the Uk on “ normal “ free telly though probably is somewhere on a pay to view basis.
I’d not watch it sorry.

Super Bowl ….. is that the game where they call it the “ World Series “ but only the Americans play it ??

Major League Baseball has over 250 non-American players representing 29 different countries.

They play in the US because that is where the highest level of competition is found and the best baseball teams in the world are found.
You will also find that these global representatives come to play in the US not just because the level of competition is the best in the world but because of the astounding amount of money one can realize playing baseball.

With the best teams and players in the world participating in the 7 game championship playoff series accurately titled The World Series.

You must be reading some unique material.
They have these very precise game clocks that count down actual play time, which is 15 minutes per quarter with 4 quarters being played.
A whole lot of money is spent based on these perimeters.

A bit off topic , want to mention our now defunct (injury insurance issues) local ball hockey summer league ,full contact hockey rules played on regulation ice rink concrete floor and reg. size boards …open to all players 18+ … no gear , sticks ,sneakers & work gloves only , most brutal sport I ever involved in ,played few yrs for Sports equip. team then moved over to a brewery team free team T’s along with lots of beer … we had a great team during those yrs , attended worlds once … lost in mists of time now

Have you ever heard the term "Hang in there"? It comes from baseball ..... from the need to hang over the plate while some guy rears back and throws a 90 mph missle, hard as a rock, aimed at your head, that somehow, in the last 15 feet before it hits your head, slides away and down. Takes balls to hang in there!

Slick,
CF, and 3B college level, and lead off hitter (master of the art of hanging in there)
