Cast iron barrel is tough to distort or unflatten its top so likely just a flat file across can assure its quite good enough. Is there a bunch of un-flat head encounters to jump on that so quick. A flat file should tell if off enough to matter. To suck the head studs out I red hot the bolt w/o heating head then run the take off lock nuts on to suck the heat out of the bolt as the alloy does too to swell as bolt shrinks then out she comes. Hope we all find out the easy way.
