Guys,
I’m in need of a new clutch side gasket, I’m getting a little weeping around the rubber grommet where the wiring enters the case. I should be able to seal that with some high temp silicone but assume I’ll bust the gasket taking the case off.
Would someone be able to let me know the latest contact for spare parts at Norton? Or if there’s a better option ,what it is. Worst case I could always make one.
thanks

Thiel Motorsports in Germany should have it.

I am also frustrated from waiting for parts for my bike but this is not like a company takeover - more throwing away everything but the name and the start up of a new company. The bikes that came as part of the deal are flawed, and a lot of work is being done to make them marketable - a lot of testing for the 961 and re-engineering of faulty components. The v4 has had to be reverse engineered and a 'proper' factory set up with all the equipment and procedures put in place. New staff to recruit and train. I am pleased that Norton now looks like a real factory with modern facilities and hopefully will be able to start rolling out products which are a credit to the marque. It can only be positive for us owners in the long run.

Hi Clive , You are absolutely correct when you say the bikes were /are flawed. When Garner bought the Norton brand back in 08 , those bikes were nowhere near production ready. In fact , you could say that they achieved a remarkable feat getting them ready for sale in 2010 . When you see what they inherited from the Dreer company , it was not even close to finished. We only need to look back and we can see why this all happened a kind of pipe dream .

That email is bollocks....they have all the info needed, and where Ive requested parts price and availability, Ive supplied the part number and their original suppliers information....still get the same standardised copy and pasted reply

Hello Clive , I would be willing to say that we are lucky that we even have the Norton 961's we ride now.

I agree with you Stu 100% ! What the hell is the hold up with the current parts supply ? Why on earth can't they let us have current parts availability ? And if they are re-engineering new parts great .

This post on their Instagram page says it all.

Yup, that’s how I see it. Flawed machine (if also categorised as a rolling artwork) that is awesome to ride when working. Lucky is how I feel every time I roll back into my garage, Sunday morning thrash complete. Lucky (and a tad relieved) as I know that if she breaks down I am likely to need parts that I can’t get and I’ll be relegated to drinking piss whilst polishing, rather than parading. Sooner they get the parts supply up and running the better. Until then, I’l continue riding with two fingers crossed - makes using the front brake a challenge though!
