So, I guess I shouldn't mention I have a Harley at this point either, 'eh?[/quote]

I won't hold that against you and I have also gone down the Harley road back in the 90s but I still kept my Norton but sold a great 81 Triumph Thunderbird which I still regret to this day, I also give my mates shit, proberly more than they put on me as they were all old British bike owners before the Harleies, what are mate for anyway

Please, let's use the proper name; "Hardley Ableson".

I think the only reason the local HD group will give me the time of day is that the Norton's not made in Japan. You'd think they'd have the same disdain for BMWs (they're made in Germany, after all), but they seem okay with that. :|

Ditto :

Leave the sucker as is .
No use putting the bits thatve fallewn off back on , unless you keep the bits on it to replace them . :D

The 16 in rears a good idea . So are brakes . And the zorst likely bettern the rattle prone head stripping variety .
also it corrects the lateral C. G.

Dont Rush anything . Thesers probly a hundred options on each and STOCK is obsolesent , in many cases .
