Smiths Odometer reset knob ?

I got this speedo and the reset knob is missing. Looks like it would have out the bottom as there are no holes on the side . Anyone where I can get one or even more interestingly how does it stay in place ?

Yes, the knob comes out the bottom. It's pull and twist to reset. IIRC, the shaft of the reset knob is a tube that slips over a rod and is retained by a small cotter pin.

My speedo is a chronometric ...... might be different from later magnetics.

This one says it for the "Side"

They come in different lengths for the magnetic. Push in and pull out fit.

I think it's the same fitting
Bottom or side
But the bottom fitting one was longer so you can reach it
If memory serves me correctly
