That stand looks like what I have it’s kind of short makes for a tippy bike if not parked with a block of wood.
will this upgrade work on a 1969 frame? or specific to 71? Just confirming if there's a bracket or fix for a 69.
Did you see a picture of it? what year do you think it is? I'm still figuring this bike out lolYour frame isn't 1969.

For anyone with one of those stands that doesn't want to start welding stuff on their frame, then I'd recommend buying a new sidestand. My 1970 was a pain for years, and I always had to carry a small rock to put the bike on. What I hadn't realised was that the stand was really worn at the pivot, so instead of keeping the bike a few degrees off vertical, it leaned so far over that it was unstable even on level ground. That stand looks like what I have it’s kind of short makes for a tippy bike if not parked with a block of wood.
thanks for clarifying that. Prev owner told me it was a 69 but after taking it apart it's scarey who did some of the work. its hard to read the numbers on the frame. I guess u could stamp anything on those frame plates lolLooks like 1971 as it has the later cross tube and side stand pivot that can be replaced with the later type.
