SCHWEET! thats a very nice looking bike. you should be very proud, Did you restore it? Im a very big fan of those.
Holy crap batman, is that estimate correct? If so what are you going to do with that pot of gold? Ill be really interested in what it does fetch at the end of the day at auction.
I told myself I would go to Vegas this year (been saying this foa while now) but other things have come up. i doubt at this point im going and i havent even tried to book tickets.
If its not too much trouble can you pm me off list with good pictures? I would truly appreciate it. the reason I ask is my wife has one of these,. its a 47 ES2, and im told they are rare, the 48s are much more common. If you can tell more about it, and any details such as anything correct and not correct on it. Finding truly accurate examples isnt easy. Id like your pictures as a reference. I can handle much of the restoration myself, and she is doing some of the work too. So we dont need you to babysit us, But any info you care to share would be appreciated.
I TRIED to slurp the pix off their website and I couldnt get them to download or save as pix of doc. As you might be aware the parts books for those arent very good so good detailed pix would be a great help. Ours is a basket case, Im missing a few odds and ends but nothing too bad. It was missing the tool box when we got it but i found one 2 years ago, also the tank is less than perfect but we know have 3 less than perfect tanks for it,, so i doubt at this time ill go the full chromed tank route and instead repair the tanks I have and paint them, but am considering one of the chromed Indian tanks, the prices are right on them, and not a big deal if not perfect. I also have a spare engine and a 1962 ES2 manx im building a poor mans manx out of. (See the NOC articles on this by Pemberton, or his website at Pushrod performace in the UK.)
