Leaking rev counter drives- we now offer a new drive housing 06-7254 with an oil seal rather than the O-ring (oil seal part #06-7255). This does away with the oil leaks that will arise as soon as the O-ring has become hard and square. These housings have now replaced 06-1090 and 06-5200, the earlier drive housings that we no longer make and sell.

thank you Joe: this is very useful to know. Would it be possible to just buy the felt oil seal to adapt to the older speedo drive?

I wonder when Norton started putting those cranked ears on the mounting tabs. My 69 has straight ears and no crank to the slots, just straight slots. Was that a 71 and up, or 73 up?

My '72 still has the original pan and it has straight ears. But this gives me a good idea for fixing my broken out pan and pop rivets. I will fix the fiberglass then make a 4" or so metal piece for each side that goes on the inside to bridge the busted out fiberglass part and have additional pop rivets or PEM inserts plus screws to all good material.

Then new cover and foam - holy cow that's the ticket!

Well I received an answer from Commando Specialties which told me that they don't carry seats but could arrange to do so .. and price ranged around $335 USD.

I have dealt extensively with The Norvil Shop in UK and they list a Norton seat range, as suggested around $110 GBP but I have not had a reply from my initial inquiry ~ (Not good business Guys!)

The shipping of course is a shocker! It cots me over $100 AUD to ship my new Roadstar tank from The Triumph Shop UK!

The good news for us in Ozzie is that the $ AUD hit $1.09 against the green back last night ~

And a mate in Brisbane, was telling me yesterday, he bought a seat from Honda Classics in VIETNAM and the quality is quite outstanding,
