resize fork sliders,

I too was considering machining out worn fork sliders on a large lathe with a long big diameter boring bar, sadly I never got round to it. :(

I had a pair of late Commando sliders honed slightly oversized to clean up some impact damage. The shop used a Sunnen honing machine, and had a stone holder that was long enough for the job. It worked great. I modified the bushing at the bottom of the stanchion to take a Suzuki bushing with some shims behind it to get a good fit.

Boring out is best, but some nifty setup is required..a floating reamer is another method.
