Hi everyone I have a 1975 Mk3 Commando which has on it a new fibreglass rear light fitting does anyone know if there is a metal one available of the same type as it is cracking where it goes over the loop behind the seat, if one does exist could you please let me know any info you have like part number, supplier etc. Many thanks Chris

Not that I know of.

...as it is cracking where it goes over the loop behind the seat,

What can help to reduce the cracking is pack the drilled bolt '24' with additional washers...

...and, if necessary, remove the 1/4" spacer '33' from the underside of the mudguard (replace with a penny washer) so stress on the tail lamp fairing is reduced as much as possible when screw '23' is tightened.

You could also grind away some of the glass fairing where it interferes with hoop. There seems to be a lot of variance in the lamp holder bracket angles which means the fairing has to accommodate the range of distances/angles. Never seen a perfect fit for these though my sample size is small.
