I really think those people should be sent STRAIGHT TO PRISON. 1 year minimum, more years depending on the severity of the injuries they cause. 5 minute court hearing, NO EXCEPTIONS.

I think this way too but I would add high-speed evading to that list. People who do this put the whole community at risk.

I used to get visits from Jehovah's Witnesses when I lived nearer to London. I told them I was a Druid. They couldn't get away fast enough...

High speed evading endangers everyone. However when we were kids, many of us enjoyed modifying cars and hotting-up motorcycles. Doing that stuff shaped my professional life as a scientist. I used to work mainly in large engineering factories developing materials and processes. I can drive a lathe and a mill, and I actually understand what the tradies are doing. For me, project management is a cinch. But while I was doing that stuff, I did not really know where I had gained my skills. Most of the professional people were university-educated engineers. They often seemed to have problems were very easily solved.
When you build a race bike from scratch, you usually need to pre-plan it in your head.

Another one that is bad in Aus is the one punch can kill, agro/gutless males running up behind males and king hitting them in the head from behind, most of the deaths are when they hit the gutter or hard pavement or wake up brain damaged for life as well youths going out armed with knives or machetes tucked under the shirt and pants ready for sneaky attacks, street gangs who fight in shopping centres or open public places, they just don't care no more and if anyone gets in the way or try to stop the fighting they get turned on and seriously bashed, or even killed from the injuries.
A lot of these gangs are migrants who families have settled in Aus to escape the troubles in their own home lands but the youth seem to bring their anger here with them and start up their own gangs fuel by their anger.
Stealing hi performance cars with their mates all aboard and putting their anticks on social media showing the high speeds they are doing on crowded freeways, endangering everyone and the mayhem that happens when they lose it, killing their mates or innocent people and some driver as young as 15 behind the wheel, all good fun till someone gets hurt or killed.
Madness I say.
