To do it you would need a way to remove all oil from the casting, an oxide blaster, a gravity feed gun, and a dedicated oven to bake at 350 degrees. The coating is available from techline. Jim

The supplier says it is effective on aluminum. I installed a coated head on my bike a few years ago but there were other changes made at the same time so I couldn't compare the results.
I have had trouble with chipping on aluminum parts after a couple years also. Maybe caused by incorrect preparation? Jim
