You have stated you are confident in your magneto are confident in your magneto rebuilder as over the years I have had major problems with mags rebuilt by a supposed expert, also have you checked your timing on both cylinders as one of my "rebuilt " mags was 8 degrees different between cylinders, a modification to the slip ring cured that.

Slip ring, or cam ring? I think you mean cam ring ....

I am not nit picking, just don't want to lead some reader astray. Most guys with magnetos find them confusing enough!

Possm, I haven't...

With the bike about to go in storage for three years (international move and I can't bring any bikes to the country...), I am going to try and get the idle mix closer to right, now that I am in the ballpark, and have a few last short rides.

I will definitely give the timing a second look when I pull it back out of mothballs.
